I am glad to receive the attached letter.
With regard to No. 2 I beg to express my
pleasure that paragraphs Nos. 9 and 10 of the letter of Way
28th. are withdrawn. I had not asked for their withdrawal, and
it reflects great credit on Mr. Sercombe Smith that he should
of his own accord have withdrawn them.
